Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, former supermodel and filmmaker. Rene Marie Russo, born in the United States, is an actor, director and ex-supermodel. Her fame is based on her elegance beauty. The longevity of her career in a competitive and crowded industry shows her skills and talent in the field of performance. In the 1970s when she started her modeling career and quickly became one of the leading actors in the industry. Then, in the mid 1990s she started studying the theatre and acting. In the following years, she moved to Los Angeles and California she appeared on stage for the first time. Russo's screen debut was in ABCs 1988 drama Sable in which she was Eden Kendell. In the following year she portrayed Tom Berengers love interest in her debut movie Major League. The critics, initially unconvinced of her performance skills, were eventually won over when they saw her constant performance. In Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak she was especially praised by critics for the way she performed to Dustin Hoffman, Morgan Freeman as well as other actors. She has admitted that acting isn't her passion. After a lengthy vacation, she self-imposed herself in 2005. In 2006, she made a return with Thor. He was born into an ethnically diverse Lithuanian family. Rose played basketball and kickboxing throughout her growing up. Invicta Fighting Championships were her first professional fight. At 18, she had won two by submission. Dana White was impressed and signed Rose to the UFC's strawweight division at 22 years of age in December of 2014. Rose has had highs and she's also experienced lows throughout her professional career, but she always came out on the top. Rose fought Carla Esparza to win the Women s Strawweight Championship in The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. Rose won with a technical knockout after just three minutes of Round One. Rose was also given the title of Fighter Of The Night and set a record as it was the first time a women was ever a participant on a level of championships in a major promotional organization all over the world. Namajunas was able to take home a number of other victories. She also defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, earning two Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
